This policy explains how Sitepur uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They are read back by the website on later visits and allow it to recognise your browser, keep track of a session, and store limited settings. Cookies do not run programs and cannot read data from other files on your device.
In this policy, references to "cookies" also cover related technologies that serve a similar function, including:
- localStorage and sessionStorage: browser storage that holds small values on your device, used for the same purposes as cookies (for example, keeping you signed in or remembering a preference).
- Pixels and tags: small pieces of code that record that a page or action loaded, used for aggregate measurement.
- Software development kit (SDK) storage and device identifiers where an equivalent technology is used in place of a browser cookie.
We describe the categories of cookies we set in section 3 and the third parties that may set their own in section 4.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for a limited set of purposes that keep the Service working and help us understand how it is used:
- To keep you signed in: once you authenticate, a session cookie lets you move between pages of your dashboard without entering your credentials on every request, and helps protect against certain forms of request forgery.
- To remember your preferences: settings such as your interface choices and your cookie consent decision are stored so that we do not ask you again on each visit.
- To understand usage: aggregate, statistical measurement tells us which pages and features are used, which errors occur, and where the Service can be improved. We use this information at the level of trends and totals, not to build a profile of you.
We do not use cookies to sell your personal data, and we do not use them for cross-site advertising.
3. Types of cookies we use
The table below groups the cookies and similar technologies we use by category, states the purpose of each category, and gives a typical duration. Durations are indicative: an individual cookie may be shorter-lived, and a session cookie is removed when you close your browser. We list categories rather than specific vendor cookie names, because the exact names can change as providers update their services.

Strictly necessary cookies are always active. Functional and analytics cookies are non-essential and are set only where you have given consent, as described in sections 5 and 6.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services on our behalf or that you interact with through the Service. These parties act under their own privacy and cookie policies, and we recommend that you review them:
- Analytics provider: our analytics measurement may rely on a third-party service that sets its own cookies or storage to record aggregate usage. We configure it for statistical measurement rather than advertising.
- Merchant of record checkout: billing is handled by a third-party merchant of record (the reseller of record that processes payments and handles applicable taxes, VAT, and GST). When you reach the checkout, that provider may set cookies that are necessary to process your payment, prevent fraud, and complete the transaction. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own policy.

5. How to manage cookies
You can control cookies through more than one route:
- Our consent banner: when you first visit, and whenever you choose to revisit your choices, our banner lets you accept or decline non-essential (functional and analytics) cookies. Your decision is recorded so we can honour it.
- Browser controls: every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies through its settings. You can usually block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear cookies already stored. Browser help pages explain the exact steps for your version.
- Device and browser storage: clearing your browser's site data also removes localStorage and sessionStorage values that we or third parties have stored.
Effect of disabling cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to work. If you block or delete them, you may be unable to sign in or your session may not be retained, and parts of your dashboard may not function. Blocking functional cookies means the Service will not remember your preferences. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect functionality; it means your visit is not counted in our aggregate measurement.
6. Consent
Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy rules, non-essential cookies (in our case, functional and analytics cookies) are set only after you have given consent. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement because they are needed to provide the service you have asked for.
For users in India, we apply the consent principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act): consent is sought through a clear notice, is specific to the stated purpose, and can be withdrawn. Where we rely on your consent, we keep it as the basis for the related processing only for as long as that consent stands.
Our approach to consent is as follows:
- Consent for non-essential cookies is requested before those cookies are set.
- Consent is given by an affirmative action; a pre-ticked box is not treated as consent.
- You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the consent banner or your browser controls. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not affect processing that already took place while your consent was valid.
Withdrawing consent to analytics or functional cookies does not stop strictly necessary cookies, and it does not affect your access to the core Service.
7. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that tells websites you would prefer not to be tracked. There is no common industry standard for how a site must respond to a DNT signal, and support for it varies between browsers. Because we do not carry out cross-site tracking or targeted advertising, our response is straightforward: we do not track you across other websites regardless of your DNT setting. For non-essential cookies on our own Service, we rely on the consent controls described in sections 5 and 6 rather than on DNT signals. Where your browser sends a recognised opt-out preference signal that applicable law requires us to honour, we treat it as a request to opt out of the relevant processing.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use, in the third parties we work with, or in applicable law. When we make a material change, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change affects non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent again through the banner. We encourage you to review this page from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect indicates that you have read the revised policy, subject to the separate consent we obtain for non-essential cookies.
